Water points supported through the partnership between HEKS/EPER and Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha (TUS) continue to serve the Shantipur community in Dighinala Upazila, Khagrachari, according to field reflections shared by Shah A Liton on LinkedIn.
In his post and accompanying video, he described meeting community members and observing that water points installed following the August–September 2024 floods were still functioning. He also reported that the water points had withstood the floods in July 2026.
These observations highlight the importance of water infrastructure that remains functional through repeated flooding and continues supporting communities during recovery.
His post also noted that TUS, in partnership with HEKS/EPER and with support from SDC, is responding to the needs of communities affected by the 2026 floods and supporting their recovery.
TUS appreciates the field visit, community engagement and sharing of these observations on resilient water services.
