On March 4, 2025, the HEKS/EPER donor team of the FERB Project visited Dighinala Upazila, one of the project implementation areas. Their visit began with an inspection of the spring water capping site for the water reservoir, as the residents of Jora Bridge, a remote village in Kabakhali Union of Dighinala Upazila, still rely on this natural water source without any filtration. Later, the team visited the road scheme in Duluchari.
Following this, the team met with the Union Parishad Chairman of Kabakhali Union, where they shared their observations from the visit, including key challenges, findings, and achievements. Subsequently, they proceeded to Merung Union to assess the drainage scheme. Additionally, they examined the renovation of a shallow tubewell, tested water quality, and carried out other related activities.
Notably, this project addresses the aftermath of the severe flooding that impacted Khagrachari District in August 2024. It is being implemented by Trinamul Unnayan Sangstha in Dighinala and Khagrachari Sadar Upazilas, providing support in four unions to improve shelter, livelihoods, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) services.
